11/16/2025 – A leak has been reported on Jackson and 9th St.

Public Works is aware and working to resolve the issue.

Water users may experience interruptions in service as Public Works fixes it.

The upper portion of Deady Street is still under the Boil Water Notice. The rest of the homes affected by The Boil Water Recommendations from the previous leak on Jackson and 7th are no longer in effect.

We will update the website and deliver all clear notices once we know the water is safe for normal use.

City Hall will be closed for Thanksgiving starting on Wednesday, November 26th at noon. We will be open for regular business again on Monday, December 1st.

Park Host/Maintenance Opportunity

The City of Port Orford and the Parks Commission are seeking a Park Host for Buffington Park. A friendly, responsible person or couple with initiative who live in an RV, up to 40 feet in length, and who would like to serve as Park Hosts year-round would be ideal. The applicant(s) must be able to pass a background check by the Port Orford Police Department.

The job includes free rent, free electricity, water, and sewer in exchange for light maintenance-type duties, which include cleaning the bathrooms daily, litter pick-up, emptying trash cans, string trimming, and mowing. The person should be prepared to interact with park visitors positively and work closely with City Staff as part of the team.

All duties will be fully explained and demonstrated by appropriate City personnel, and the Park Host will work with the Administrator, Chief of Police, and Public Works Staff to ensure the Park is safe, welcoming, clean, and remains beautiful.
